Forecasts

The Exe

The Exe is at a good level for a group of improvers when the EA Thorverton Gauging Station reads between 60cm and 80cm.

The Barle

The Barle is at a good level when the Webcam at Dulverton Bridge reads between 25cm and 75cm.

The Dart

A good level on the Dart for a group of improvers is when the level is around the bottom mark at the Dartcam at River Dart Country Park. This is level with the slab or ledge at Newbridge.

The Dart is good to go if there is good ground water and there has been around 10mm Cumulative Rainfall at the Dartcom Weather Station (Next to Powdermills near Princetown) within the previous 24hrs. Note Dartcom may read too high if it has been very windy in which case check Bridford Weather Station East Dartmoor and Haytor Weather Station also.

The Usk and Wye

Usk Cam Brecon and Wye Cam Llanstephan. The Usk and Wye are good to go between 1 and 2.

Surfing North Devon

Magic Seaweed North Devon and Croyde Surf Cam / Little Pink Shop

The surf can be affected by the swell, by the wind and by the state of the tide. Saunton is protected from Northerly winds. Puttsborough is protected from Southerly winds and from the full power of most swells. Most beaches work best on a rising tide at around threequarters high. Croyde surprisingly works best at around low tide.
